They say, The deVil is in the detail and it’s often tiny granular details that are key. The first hint of salvation VIA a substitution for our SIN thus establishing blood sacrifices comes at a point most miss.
21 Unto Adam also and to his wife did the Lord God make coats of skins, and clothed them.
22 And the Lord God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:
23 Therefore the Lord God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken.
24 So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life.
Adam and eVe have already made themselves an earthly covering using leaves but GOD uses the SKIN of an animal to COVER them. A blood sacrifice to cover their sins, a foreshadowing of the need for Jesus Christ.
Sometimes it can be just the nod of a head or something different that jumps out but listening to the world or people within can draw you a picture and then you can discern it from fakery.
I recall watching the movie, Hellraiser as a young lad. What struck me about it was how it seemed quite real, how you would see true occult meddling to be, how you might imagine genuinely calling upon a demon might be. The director of that movie was EnglisH novelist, Clive BarkeR.
In the AbouT section of a novel he wrote (The DamnatioN GamE) that he was able to gain admittance to parties in HigH places, sometimes by being a young good looking gay man. WhaT he wrote appeared to have come from experience. Do I take that VieW because of what I read later? No, I always felt it authentic.
Barker did make other movies with varying levels of success. He complained of meddling by studios and superior DirectorS cut Versions of his work back this UP.
Nightbreed, an adaptation of his own novel, CABAL was edited by the studios to the point that it visibly looked like the beginning was missing. It lept into scenes that had no establishing data behind them.
Clive Barker is still writing and he is StilL a Very unique talent. Something in the way he crafts his movies and books smacks of authenticity. In recent years he suffered a polyps in his throat that took his voice away for a time. On and off he proclaims to be Christian. His voice is apparently back at this point.
Try to seek the authenticity in the basic elements both VisuaL and in the wording both in fiction and the commentaries and related materials. The two are often intertwined.
Keep your mind clean. Peace.
